Police work at the scene of a crash involving a Derryfield School school bus and a Nissan Versa compact sedan on Thursday morning.
On Thursday at approximately 6 a.m. Manchester Police responded to a head-on collision on South Main Street at Varney Street involving a Derryfield School bus that was on the way to pick up children.
No children were on the bus at the time. The 30-year-old male driver in the car sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police. The 52-year-old male bus driver was unhurt.
The accident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
