Vehicle fire on I-95 bridge

A GMC Acadia experienced “catastrophic failure” and caught fire on the I-95 bridge between Portsmouth and Maine Tuesday morning.

A “catastrophic” vehicle fire on the Piscataqua River Bridge in Portsmouth shut down I-95 during the morning commute Tuesday.

Four people who were in the vehicle managed to get out without injury, according to a news release from state police.
