What motivates you to give back to your community?
My dad – he was a youth sports coach, amongst other things, volunteering thousands of hours over decades in Londonderry while I was growing up and still is today at 77. I saw the impact he had on kids and their families for many years to follow. My hope is to have the same impact on others, the town, and the community as he had. Also, I’m fortunate to work for a great family-owned company in the landscape and snow industry who has strong relationships with the veteran community, and the work we do as a company to give back is truly inspiring. It makes me want to continuously get more involved and have a greater impact.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Train to replace yourself.
What would make New Hampshire more attractive to young professionals?
Increased affordable housing options, continuing to prioritize economic freedom and entrepreneurship as well as preserving our beautiful outdoors.
Do you see yourself living and working in New Hampshire at age 55-plus?
Absolutely – I am a boomerang resident. I left the state for college and enhanced my career in California. It was a great experience living and traveling throughout other parts of the country, but nothing compares to New Hampshire.
